In Ayodhya Bharata keeps those sandals on the throne, saying that he cannot take his brother Rama’s place. Upon hearing this Bharat asks for Rama's sandals and goes back to Ayodhya. Rama is sad after getting to know about his father's death and says Bharata to go back as he will stay in the forest and fulfil their father's last wish.
